Firsts

Lars is almost 7 months and in the past month or so he has had lots of 'firsts'. He has really started doing a lot of big boy things recently and it's just a reminder that my baby boy is growing up :(

Firsts
First time spending a few nights in a hotel
First hair cut
First bath in the big bath tub with bubbles and toys
First trip to grocery store (i know...he's 7 months old. but i usually go during my lunch or bob goes after court and we try to avoid the grocery store on the weekend, but we went yesterday and Lars loved it)
First time in cool weather with hats and jackets
First time in a high chair

I try to document all of these as much as possible because I know they are zooming right by and before we know it he will be crawling, then talking, then walking...AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! But for now we are enjoying every second of Lars growing up (except the no sleeping part, but that's a whole other post)

I know I say this every post, but my sweet boy is the greatest joy of our lives. He's perfectly perfect and I have to stop myself from trying to nibble on him, especially those cheeks!!

halloween feet
love those hands
too much Halloween fun
loving the cool weather

My Sleeping Angel

Ahhhhhh there's nothing that makes me all soppy and melts my heart more than watching Lars sleep. Lars has just started figuring out to sleep unswaddled and it's really the most precious things I've ever seen in my life. Most times I try to resist kissing him, but sometimes I just have to dive in and get some lovin' on those cheeks.

Lars---you make me the best kind of crazy there is.

My fussy ray of sunshine

Yes, I know that title is a bit contradictory but it's true. No matter how fussy or irritable my sweet baby boy is he is and will always be my little ray of sunshine.  Poor little man has just been beside himself with these teeth coming in and going through a big growth spurt. I tell him everyday that I can't wait for our outgoing happy go lucky little puffin to return but in the mean time we will do the best we can to make sure he's as happy as can be.

so these are all the babies from the birth class we took. shockingly Lars was not the first born but he  is the biggest  :)
nakey time before bed. his favorite time of the day

first time in cool weather (in lake charles of all places)...sporting some pants and nice jacket. he loved it.
there are no words for just how this picture melts my heart. my sweet precious angel.

Delirious Lars

Lars is teething and has been for what feels like forever.  His sleeping is a bit rough right now, his appetite has decreased and he's a bit fussier than normal. But never mind all of that...the funniest thing happened last night and I'm pretty sure it was out of pure delirium. It was about 8:30 (bed time) and Bob was rocking Lars in our bedroom and I was making his food for the next day and I heard this constant giggling so I walked in and Lars was laughing hysterically...like couldn't control himself laughter. He would look at his bottle then look at Bob and just start laughing. It was insane!! We were all just sitting there laughing at ???? no one knows.

Also, the other night I was rocking him and he was passed out cold and I continued to hold him b/c I can and b/c he's the cutest baby ever and I don't want these moments to pass me by so I hold him for a very long time while he sleeps. Anyway, I was looking down at him and he was cracking a few smiles then started laughing in his sleep....I didn't think I was going to be able to stand it. It was the most adorable thing I've ever seen. I started to wonder about what he was dreaming about that was so damn funny. No matter what it is, there's no better feeling than to know that my sweet boy is happy and having sweet dreams.

I tell Lars all the time that he is the funniest person I know and he doesn't even try.  He cracks me up all the time. The faces he makes, the noises he makes, the way he mimics his dad, they way he will bust out laughing if you burp (typical boy right?), how he gets excited for his solid foods and squeals and kicks his legs, the way he 'gets his crazies' out at night before bed, his poop face....so many wonderful things! He makes me tired and sometimes frustrated but in the end he makes me laugh and that's all that matters. I love my puffin muffin!
